Anita Nowery Durel, CFRE has more than thirty years of nonprofit and development experience with a broad range of institutions, including museums and cultural, educational, youth and health organizations. She works with leaders to establish integrated, donor-centered fundraising strategies, including major giving initiatives, capital campaigns, and development coaching and training. She is the President of the Maryland Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and a Subject Matter Expert for Certified Fund Raising Executives International (CFRE).

Publications

In addition to her writings on fundraising and management that are published on this site, Durel was a regular columnist on educational issues for Baltimore’s Child from 1991 to 1999, and also published articles in the Baltimore Sun and the Baltimore Messenger.
