The award is accompanied by a $25,000 prize and a specially produced video of the winning program.
The Computer Clubhouse is a learning community were young people use technology to develop new skills and new ways of thinking about learning and themselves. Young people, ages 10 to 18, develop computer-based projects using advanced equipment, inspired by their own ideas, and supported by adult mentors who guide their work and serve as role models. The museum has launched five satellite clubhouses and aims to establish a network of Clubhouses across the country and around the work.
